Ashington Academy Attendance Hub

Attendance Hubs were created by the Department for Education in 2022 as part of the government's strategy to improve school attendance.

They are led by schools with strong attendance records, which share their successful approaches with other schools to help reduce absenteeism and ensure more students attend regularly.

Ashington Academy leads our Trust's Attendance Hub.

They are one of 32 such hubs across England and they've been working since early 2024 to spread their strategic approach to improving attendance to neighbouring schools.

The Ashington Attendance Hub supports other schools to tackle their attendance issues by sharing their proven attendance strategy through shared training sessions or bespoke school-to-school packages.

If your school is interested in finding out more about the Attendance Hub and/or how Ashington Academy can help you directly, please get in touch with our hub lead, Colin McLaughlin.
